about

This piece is inspired by ‘Rare bird' from the German group Hoelderlin. It was meant to be the opening part of a suite, based on the lyrics of this song, which are based on the German poet Friedrich Hölderlin. I wrote this part at the end of July 1993 and completed it as a independent composition on the 9th of July 1994.
Recorded: 2/6/'97
Instruments used for the recording:
E-mu Proteus/1, Kawai K1 rII, Yamaha TX81Z

When I got my sampler, I decided to record it again, but this time with a sampled piano and tenor-saxophone.
Recorded: 22/1/'05

Instrument used for the recording:
Kawai K1 rII, Yamaha TX81Z, Akai Z4 sampler

Instruments the music is written for:
piano
keyboards
tenor-saxophone
